2022 Base Races

Welcome to our 4th annual virtual race! We are excited to race with you again this year for the following reasons:

  1. Our community is spread out across the nation. We have friends and partners in 40 different states! This race is built for you to connect with the rest of the community and to help empower young people to live and share their faith through service.

  2. We’re ready for this! We’re building on last year’s successful virtual race. Our hope is people will use this as a chance to get active in real life!

  3. A virtual race allows for maximum flexibility. You can set your own course, run it in your own time, and at your own pace! You can involve the entire family and use it as an opportunity to talk about how physical training is of some value, but spiritual training is of utmost importance!

We look forward to connecting with you as we train and race together.

Why is Base putting on this race? This race is designed to connect partners with the mission of empowering young people to live and share their faith through service. It is very fitting to gather a group of people who are leading themselves to improve through sports to connect and raise funds to develop more leaders who love to share Jesus.

When is the race? It will be during the week of October 8-16. You can choose anytime during that week to run or bike and can submit your results and pictures as early as 9:00 am on Saturday the 8th or as late as 10:00 pm on Sunday the 16th. We will keep an updated results page so you can see how you are doing in your group. Feel free to try and beat your time throughout the week.

Who can participate? Everyone! You can run this race all by yourself or grab a few friends and run together. In the past participants have run the 5K with their kids on bikes or with friends supporting them along the way. We do keep times and some people get very competitive, but the race is designed to connect people with the mission. Whether you are fast or slow, we would love for you to join us!

Where is the race? The virtual race allows you to do this any time, any place, and at any pace! We only ask that you complete your event outside your home or gym when possible. There also will be select cities where there will be a local “meet-up.” These locations will be announced as the race week gets closer. If you live in one of these locations you do not NEED to be a part of this meet-up, but it might be more fun to run with others. If you wish to host a “meet-up” in your area, email us for more information.

What events are offered? We have four race options this year: 5K walk/run, 10K walk/run, 20K bike, or a broken duathlon. The broken duathlon is all three events (10K run + 20K bike + 5K run) completed within three consecutive days of the race week.

How much is this race? The registration for the race is $40.

What is included with the registration fee? Participants who register before September 19 will receive a shirt, medal, and swag bag. Thanks to sponsors, the registration fee goes directly to supporting the mission of Base. We will also have prizes for different time categories!

Ready to sign up? The link below will take you to our own High Power camp store where we are handling the registrations. Thank you for joining us in this race!
