2022 Base Races Logistics

Thank you for registering for a 2022 Base Race.

We are so excited for you to join us! Empowering young people to live and share their faith is a great mission that we get to be a part of together. This might be your first time running a virtual race, so we want to answer some logistical questions you might have about how all of this is going to work. If you have further questions, you can e-mail us at virtualrace@baseministry.org. We are ready to answer any of your questions!

Up until race week there is a bit of preparation for you to do. Training is important before running long distances. If you want sample plans, check out some by Hal Higdon. His 5K plans can be found here and his 10K plans here.

We will be ordering shirts on September 20 and plan to mail out the shirts and medals by October 3. This means they will get there before the week of the race. So, aside from training for the race, there is not much to do until then. We will send reminders and some training/running tips leading up to race week! If you do not see your shirt or mail by October 7th please let us know so we can make sure you get the right attire.

If you are hoping to run with people instead of by yourself please check out our Meet-Up Page! If you do not see a local meet-up near you, e-mail virtualrace@baseministry.org to see if there is anyone else in your area wanting to run together!

Once the race week starts, you can take your picture of proof that you ran and send in your times to virtualrace@baseministry.org. Once we have your picture and time, we will post the time on our results page! As the week goes on we will send out reminders and updates in order to encourage each participant to run and have fun.

After the race we will send out prizes to the winners and give you a final update on how the race went physically and as a fundraiser.

Thank you so much for running with us and we look forward to seeing you on race day!
