Payton Schuh

I am very excited to share with you about an opportunity I have to reach children with the gospel this summer! I will be ministering with Base Sports and equipping churches to use sports as a ministry tool. Did you know that 50 million kids were involved in youth sports in our country in the past year? Youth sport programs have become a huge part of American culture.  So, I’m excited to take advantage of how important sports have become in order to reach children this summer!

My focus with Base Sports will be coaching basketball at week-long sports camps June 13-22 and July 13-August 10.  Many of the children who will come to camp do not know about Jesus Christ and His love for us. I’ll be on a team of four other college-age athletes and we’ll travel through Washington and Oregon partnering with churches to run successful sports camps this summer.  A huge part of what we will be doing is sharing the gospel and God’s word! 

This summer’s theme is Courageous! We’ll teach kids about Jesus’ plan for our lives. However, in order for this summer to be possible, I need to gather up a team of support. I would like for you to be a part of my team as I gear up and go.

I will keep you informed of my progress and success of my missionary efforts. All funds I raise are used at the discretion of Base Sports and for the expenses of the entire team.

My deadline for raising my full support is June 1. As I’ve said above, I also need all the prayer support I can get! Please pray for my preparation for the summer and for finishing this school year strong.  Once summer hits I would ask that you pray for my team as we travel and for the kids and churches we will be working with along the way.
